About The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Interaction

  • Be the main contact for clients and intercompany departments regarding refractory enquiries and issues.
  • Carry out customer site visits for scoping new work and customer relationship development.
  • Conduct on-site or remote technical assessments of cremator refractory conditions to determine repair or reline requirements.
  • Perform periodic on-site inspections of contractor work.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.

Order Management

  • Process and own customer sales orders from purchase order through to invoicing.
  • Prepare an accurate bill of materials to be issued for despatch.
  • Ensure all required documentation (Procedures, RAMS, etc.) are submitted before work begins.
  • Co-ordinate contractors, logistics, waste management and schedules.
  • Work with service coordinators/team to optimise site disruption/downtime.
  • Serve as the primary contact throughout project delivery, ensuring work is completed on schedule and meets customer and company expectations.

Compliance, Health and safety

  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to company standards and industry-specific safety requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices across all projects and contractor activities.
About You

Essential:

  • Experience in operations, project coordination, or service-based roles.
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferable).
  • Experience in working within an ISO 9001 accredited organisation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable:

  • Experience with refractory materials or cremator systems.
  • Health & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH).
  • Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineer drawings.

About the process

Stage One: A Teams interview where we will explore your experience in customer support, coordination and planning, and understand how you manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. This will also give you the opportunity to ask any initial questions about the role and the business.

Stage Two: A face-to-face interview at our Leeds site, allowing for a more in-depth discussion about the role, systems and service environment. You will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Customer Care team and gain insight into how we operate.
