Facultatieve Technologies (FT)

Leading with Integrity. Innovating with Purpose. Prioritising People.

Our Business and Values

FT is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and servicing of high- performance cremation and incineration systems. Operating across more than 20 countries, we are proud of our 140+ year heritage rooted in engineering excellence, innovation, and ethical responsibility.
Our culture is one of continuous improvement, not only in our products and services, but in how we protect and uphold human rights throughout our value chain.

Introduction

At Facultatieve Technologies (FT), we recognise that modern slavery, forced labour, and human rights violations are serious global issues affecting vulnerable individuals across many industries and regions.
We are committed to conducting business with integrity and responsibility. While our current policies and procedures are still developing, this statement marks our formal commitment to strengthening our global approach to modern slavery prevention and ethical working practices.
This is our first global statement aimed at building transparency and setting out a roadmap for improving how we identify and address human rights risks across our operations and supply chain.

Scope and Definitions

This statement applies to all FT operations and entities globally. We define modern slavery to include:
- Forced labour: work performed under coercion or threat.
- Debt bondage: labour used to repay an unmanageable or manipulated debt.
- Human trafficking: recruitment or transport of individuals through deception or coercion.
- Child labour: work that deprives children of their rights to education, safety, and development.
- Servitude and exploitation: any ongoing control over a person through abuse, intimidation, or manipulation.

Governance and Oversight

Ultimate accountability for modern slavery compliance rests with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), based in the UK. Operational oversight is coordinated by:
- Group Head of SHEQ: central compliance and reporting.
- HR Team: responsible for recruitment standards and workforce protections.
- Operations and Supply Chain Leads: to be supported in embedding modern slavery considerations into procurement and supplier engagement.

From 2025, the Group Head of SHEQ will act as Modern Slavery Compliance Officer, serving as the point of contact for all modern slavery matters.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

We encourage any colleague, contractor, supplier, or third party to report concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical conduct.

Reports can be submitted in any language to: whistleblowing@facultatieve-technologies.co.uk

All reports are:
- Handled confidentially and sensitively.
- Reviewed by the HR team, SHEQ and escalated to the SLT where necessary.
- Protected by a strict non-retaliation policy.

Looking Ahead: 2025–2026 Objectives

We recognise the need to make meaningful progress. Over the next 12 months, FT will prioritise the following actions:
1. Utilise a Supplier Code of Conduct outlining our expectations on labour, ethics, and compliance.
2. Manage modern slavery clauses into new supplier contracts.
3. Engage suppliers to identify potential risk areas by country or sector.
4. Distribute our modern slavery e-learning programme for rollout across all global regions annually.
5. Utilise a simple supplier self-assessment process to improve visibility.
6. awareness campaigns to all colleagues globally.
7. Audit the supply chain cycle annually, led by the SHEQ Team.

Legal and Ethical Alignment

This statement is informed by key international and national frameworks that shape our evolving approach to ethical supply chain management, including but not limited to:
- The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- The ILO Fundamental Conventions.
- The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
- The Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (where applicable).

We aim to progressively align with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance as our
processes continue.
